Do I have to pay to use this app? If I don't subscribe, can I still have unlimited chats without filters?

Subscription is not required. You can use our app for free by earning gems through tasks such as daily check-ins. And all users can enjoy unlimited chats without content filters and create as many characters as you want in Tipsy. Subscribing or not will not affect this freedom, but you will be able to receive more gems to chat more per month and unlock more advanced features.

Besides the total number of free messages and gems, what is the difference between the free and paid plans?

  • Memory:

    • Free plan: 4k memory – can remember shorter parts of conversations.
    • All Subscriber plans: 8k memory – has a longer recall time for more personalized chats. "I'm All In" plan will be upgraded to 16k memory soon.
    • The capacity of memory determines the total amount of information your AI character remembers about the story and previous conversations with you, which results in a smoother and more personalized experience.
  • Features & Benefits:

    • Free and "Get a Taste" plans: No access to convenient features such as auto-inspiration.
    • "True Supporter" plan: Auto-inspiration available.
    • "I'm All In" plan: Has auto-inspiration and advanced features to change the length of AI replies. In addition, this plan has some models free to use and will soon launch other advanced features such as automatic sound playback and 16k memory.

Is it worth it for me to upgrade from a monthly subscription to an annual plan? Will I get a refund for the unused portion of my monthly plan?

Upgrading from a monthly plan to an annual plan is highly recommended as a way to save money, with savings of up to 50% compared to paying monthly. Additionally, we will provide some tips to help you save money on the unused portion, depending on the payment channel. (*Note that PayPal is a little different, so please read through the instructions carefully to avoid the potential of double billing.)

  • Apple App:

    When you upgrade to an annual plan, all your benefits will be updated immediately, and you will get a partial refund for any unused time on your current monthly plan.

  • Google Play & Credit Card:

    If you upgrade from an existing monthly plan to an annual plan, we will add one year of annual plan usage after your existing plan to ensure that you do not lose any day of benefits.

  • *PayPal:

    When you upgrade to an annual plan, all your benefits will be updated immediately, and you will NOT get a partial refund for any unused time on your current monthly plan. We suggest you upgrade after you used up the current monthly plan to avoid the potential of double billing.

Note: To ensure that you receive a refund or enjoy the difference in price for upgrading, we recommend that you upgrade through the same payment method as your monthly plan. Switching payment platforms may cause you to miss out on these savings.

If I upgrade my annual subscription from a lower plan to higher plan? Will I get a refund for the unused portion?

You won't have any lost to upgrade from a lower annual plan to a higher annual plan. Plus, we will help you save money on the unused portion of the money based on different channels, as follows:

  • Google Play & Credit Card:

    When you upgrade to an higher annual plan, you will only need pay the difference between the current and new plans, and the fee will be automatically adjusted based on the remaining monthly subscription time.

    If you want to upgrade to a higher monthly plan, we suggest you cancel the current monthly plan and buy a higher monthly plan after the current month expires. This way you won't lose any benefits or days from the current month's plan.

What is the difference between blue gems and red gems?

Subscribers receive a fixed number of blue gems each month depending on the plan. The blue gems are valid only for that month and do not carry over to the next month. At the start of each month, the blue gems quota is automatically refreshed according to the subscription plan chosen. Red gems are being calculated separately. Once you earn red gems, you can keep them forever with no expiration date. Chats primarily consume blue gems, followed by permanent red gems.

What happens if I run out of blue gems?

If you run out of blue gems, you can recharge your account by upgrading your subscription or using the gem recharge option. Subscriptions are a better deal than paying for gems, as they also provide more features and models to use.

Why is there such a huge difference in gem usage for different models?

Because the computing power and cost of different models are too different. In order to meet the needs of different types of users for role-playing and chatting, we introduced chat models with different costs. Among them, Claude is currently the most cutting-edge and advanced model in the world for role-playing. In addition, we have also introduced some low-cost models for free users who do not have much demand for immersion and memory. The gradient of the number of gems consumed is designed according to the gradient between the computing power costs of different models.

What is the renewal process for my subscription?

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel it. You can cancel your subscription at any time to stop renewal.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time by turning off auto-renewal in your account settings in Apple ID, Google Play Store or other platforms. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Here are the steps for different platforms:

  • App Store:

    1. Open the "Settings" app on your iPhone or iPad.
    2. Tap your Apple ID at the top.
    3. Select "Subscriptions".
    4. Find and tap the subscription you want to cancel.
    5. Tap "Cancel Subscription" and confirm.
  • Google Play:

    1. Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
    2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines).
    3. Select "Subscriptions".
    4. Find and tap the subscription you want to cancel.
    5. Tap "Cancel Subscription" and follow the prompts.
  • Credit Card:

    1. Open the "Settings" within your app.
    2. Select "Subscription".
    3. Select "Unsubscribe" and Confirm.
  • PayPal & Other Platforms: If you subscribed through another platform (e.g., PayPal, Subscribestar, Patreon), go to the website where you pay your bill and follow that platform's process to cancel.

Please note: Deleting the app will not cancel your subscription. You need to turn off auto-renewal through your account settings.

What happens after I cancel my subscription?

You will retain access to all of your subscription benefits until the end of your current billing cycle. After that, your subscription will not renew and you will no longer have those benefits and features. Refund policies vary by platform:

  • App Store: Visit Apple's support page for refunds.
  • Google Play: Visit Google Play's support page for refunds.
  • Credit Card, PayPal & Other Platforms: Your current subscription period is non-refundable per our policy.

What should I do if I haven't received my bonus gems after subscribing?

We recommend that you try logging in using a different browser, as this may resolve the issue immediately. If your account is still showing issues, please contact Tipsy Bartender in Discord for help or email [email protected] and we will help you find and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Can the subscription fee be changed in the future?

Yes, we reserve the right to change the subscription fee at any time. We will notify you of any price changes through the App, email or other important means. If you do not want to pay the new fees, you can cancel your subscription before the price change takes effect.
